Workshop Wednesday: An Invitation from Inspiration to Reality

Hey y’all,
You may have read our post yesterday about translating your wedding vision into paper reality and thought to yourself, “Self, this post is useless without photos”.
Well here’s the visual follow up, an invitation from inspiration to reality.
We’re going to look at our Paris-inspired invite for a wedding taking place at an art gallery, mixing vintage and modern styles, colours and visuals.
Let’s start with the inspiration (in this case, an inspiration board of possible wedding elements, reflecting the overall feel of the event):

Next up is the design phase, where we aim to translate the feel of the inspiration images onto paper – this, as they say, is where the magic happens. There will likely be a number of concepts presented to the bride and groom, and we may cobble together different parts of various concepts to arrive at a final completed design, represented by a digital proof like this:

And then, the exciting part – production. Often brides will ask how close the digital proof is to the finished product…you can judge for yourself, but I think it most cases, pretty darn close!
